Langkawi is an island famous for its legends of    maidens and    princess. The white are fringed by    coconut palms which shade one from the    sun.

Another place that a visitor must go to is Mahsuri's tomb. According to legends, Mahsuri, a     princess was sentenced to death for having allegedly committed adultery. When she was stabbed       blood flowed out of her body. She vowed that Langkawi would suffer for    generations.
